No further action over Norfolk bin lorry crash which left three people in hospital

A Vauxhall Astra car and a white DAF refuse collection truck were involved in a crash[1] on Halvergate Road, Freethorpe. Following the crash, which happened at about 9.15am on Monday, September 15, the driver of the car and a passenger,  both men in their 40s, were taken to hospital with serious injuries. The driver of the truck, a man in his 60s, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Police launched an appeal for information after the crash but a spokesman for the Norfolk force said the investigation has now "concluded". The spokesman said there is to be no further action or prosecution. The road was closed while emergency services, including ambulance and air ambulance, attended.

The road reopened at 5.50pm.
