Man charged with drug driving after lorry overturned on A350

A man has been charged with drug driving after a lorry overturned on a major road.

Michael Maddick, 44, of Portmead, Swansea, has been charged with driving a vehicle whilst unfit through drugs.

Emergency services were called to the A350 in Chippenham, Wiltshire, shortly before 02:00 BST on Friday when the lorry's driver was reportedly trapped.

Mr Maddick has been released on bail and is set to appear at Swindon Magistrates' Court in 4 November, Wiltshire Police said.
