M6 crash update as medics say ‘nothing could be done’ for biker
Medics said 'nothing could be done' to save a biker following a crash on the M6.
The motorcyclist was involved in a collision with a lorry on the southbound carriageway on Monday afternoon (October 6).
Emergency services raced to the scene - between junctions 10 and 11 - at around 2.54pm.

West Midlands Ambulance Service[2] sent an ambulance, two paramedic officers, a MERIT trauma doctor with a critical care paramedic and the WMAS Critical Care Car to the scene. Advertisement Advertisement

A spokeswoman said: "On arrival crews found a man in a critical condition.
"The team of medics worked quickly to administer advanced life support on scene but sadly, despite their best efforts, nothing could be done to save the man.
"He was confirmed deceased a short time later at the scene."

West Midlands Police[4] said the driver of the lorry remained at the scene to help officers with their enquiries.
A stretch of the road was closed for several hours following the fatal incident.
All lanes reopened at around 10.40pm, with National Highways thanking everyone for their patience.
