Glasgow M80 lorry fire LIVE as drivers warned of ‘heavy delays’
All traffic is being held on a busy Glasgow motorway[1] after a lorry burst into flames. Footage shows smoke pouring from the HGV close to junction one of the M80 as firefighters[2] battle the blaze. No traffic can pass the blaze, with traffic backing up onto the M8, with the sliproad closed onto the M80 at junction 13.
Traffic Scotland confirmed emergency services are at the scene and warned drivers to expect heavy delays. In a statement shared to social media, Traffic Scotland said: "All traffic is currently being held Northbound due to a lorry fire. "No traffic can currently access the M80 from the M8 at J13."
