A travel warning has been issued for Nottingham Forest[1] fans driving to the City Ground[2] for their first Europa League home fixture following a crash on the A52.

The eastbound carriageway of the major road is blocked[3] between Radcliffe and Gamston this afternoon (Thursday, October 2) due to a collision involving two lorries.

Police[4] and fire crews were called to the scene of the incident, with motorists urged to avoid the area.

Forest are due to play Danish side FC Midtjylland at 8pm in what will be their first European home game in 29 years.

National Highways said supporters should expect delays and allow for extra journey time.

"If you're heading to @NFFC vs @fcmidtjylland at The City Ground this evening, expect delays and allow for extra journey time," the agency wrote on X.
