Fire crews called as two A-roads closed after lorry crash
One crew from Tenbury Wells Fire Station, along with the environmental protection unit, were called to a crash involving a lorry and a car on the A49 at Woofferton in the early hours of this morning (Friday, October 24). The crew assisted a Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service from Ludlow in clearing a fuel spill after the crash. A spokesperson for Hereford and Worcester Fire and Rescue Service said the vehicles were made safe using an environmental grab pack and small tools.
West Mercia Police officers also attended the incident, which was marked as pending closure at 4.18am.
Full resurfacing works are taking place, after which the road is expected to reopen fully.
