Upper Parliament Street in Nottingham reopens after lorry crash fuel spill

In a statement, the fire service said: "We received a report a HGV had been in collision with road furniture and this caused a diesel fuel spill of about 50 litres (11 gallons) on to Upper Parliament Street."
Firefighters from London Road and Stockhill stations made the scene safe and prevented the fuel entering the water system.
Part of the same road was closed for a month earlier this year after part of a sewer collapsed underneath.
