Road closed for three hours after tractor hits railway bridge

Suffolk police were called at 4.36pm on Monday to reports of a collision between the tractor and the bridge in Ballingdon Street, Sudbury. Officers attended the scene and closed the road. The road was closed for nearly three hours (Image: Newsquest) A spokesman for Suffolk police confirmed the tractor hit the bridge with a load of hay bales on the back, and the load was insecure.

Traffic sensors were showing heavy delays from Bulmer Tye to King Street in Sudbury.
