Major delays after lorry crashes into safety barriers
A major route in Brookwood[1] near Woking has is blocked in both directions after a lorry crashed into the safety barriers of a railway bridge this morning (September 29). The incident was first reported at 10.56am, after slow traffic[2] was noticed in the area. The A322 Bagshot Road is blocked from A324 Brookwood Lye Road (Brookwood Crossroads) to Cemetery Pales (West Hill Golf Club).
Traffic is taking it in turns to manoeuvre past the lorry. Traffic monitoring service, Inrix, reports: "A322 Bagshot Road in both directions blocked due to accident, lorry involved from A324 Brookwood Lye Road (Brookwood Crossroads) to Cemetery Pales (West Hill Golf Club). "Note change of direction.
The lorry hit the safety barriers on the railway bridge."
