Lorry driver to appear in court following fatal crash

Emergency services attended and the driver of the Mini, Liam Congdon, a Yeovil man aged in his 20s, was taken by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital in Bristol having sustained serious injuries. Very sadly, he died in hospital on the evening of Wednesday, February 21, 2024. His family were informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.

Following an appearance at Weymouth Magistrates' Court, Geoffrey Broughton-White, 61, is due to appear in relation to causing death by careless and/or inconsiderate driving at Bournemouth Crown Court on Thursday, September 25.

The defendant of Church Lane, Stibbington, did not enter a plea at magistrates' court.
