Lorry crash causes ‘very slow traffic’ on busy roundabout

A crash involving multiple vehicles - including a lorry - caused heavy delays at a busy roundabout. The collision happened this afternoon on the junction connecting the A28 and Rheims Way in Wincheap, Canterbury.

Pictures show a large lorry and a car were involved. Traffic specialists Inrix said the route was partially closed, with "very slow traffic" on the approach.

It has since reopened.

A police spokesman added: "We were called at 1.46pm today to the Wincheap roundabout following reports of a collision involving three vehicles.

"No injuries were reported, and the road was clear by 2.46pm."
