Live M60 traffic updates as ‘police incident’ leaves motorway closed

The M60 has reopened following police incident' - with Manchester City issuing a warning for fans heading to the derby. The motorway was shut to traffic[1] in both directions within Junction 23 at Ashton-under-Lyne. The closure was first reported shortly before 3pm, with traffic heading to the Manchester Derby affected.

A National Highways spokesperson said: "The M60 is now OPEN within J23 Ashton-under-Lyne in both directions following a Greater Manchester Police-led Incident.
Please allow extra time if travelling in the area as delays of 15 mins remain in both directions."
