Europa Worldwide adopts carbon reporting tool

The move follows growing regulatory pressure in the U.K. and European Union for logistics providers to monitor emissions and provide accredited reporting, as well as increased demand from customers for detailed environmental data. Blue Yonder's tool, which is GLEC-accredited and aligned with ISO 14083, allows companies to produce standardised and verifiable emissions reports. According to Europa Worldwide, the system provides greater detail and accuracy than its previous in-house reporting method, which lacked accreditation.

"Since implementing Blue Yonder's Logistics Emissions Calculator, we have experienced a significant rise in customer engagement with emissions reporting," said Tom Jenkins, Central Services Director at Europa Worldwide Group.

The new system is already being used by road freight customers, with up to four new accounts added each week.

Europa Worldwide plans to extend the reporting tool to its air and sea freight customers by the end of 2025, making it available through its customer self-serve portal.
