Cyclist fighting for his life in hospital after crash with lorry in Erith

The incident happened in Northend Road near the A206 shortly before 10.15am today (September 30). Officers from the Metropolitan Police were also dispatched in response alongside London's Air Ambulance. At the scene, it was confirmed that a cyclist and lorry had crashed on the road near to the junction with Colyers Lane.

The cyclist, a man, was found suffering injuries and was rushed to hospital by road. His condition has been confirmed as life-threatening and there have been no arrests. A spokesperson for Metropolitan Police said: "Police were called at 10.13hrs on Tuesday, 30 September to reports of a collision between a cyclist and a lorry on North End Road, Erith.
