A30 remains closed after lorry crash

A stretch of the A30 remains closed following a two-vehicle crash involving a lorry in Devon.
Emergency services were called to the scene just before 10am after a lorry reportedly crashed.
The A30 was closed due to debris on the road following the crash.
Drivers have been told to avoid the area where possible.
The extent of any injuries has not been confirmed, police have said.
The eastbound carriage is currently closed due to damage caused to the barrier.

National Highways has said: "#A30 eastbound near # Okehampton[2].
"Eastbound carriageway is NOW CLOSED between #A388 (#Launceston) and #A386 (#Sourton) due to a collision and barrier damage
"@DC_RPT + an Ambulance are at scene."
A spokesperson for Devon and Cornwall Police said: "We received reports of a collision between two vehicles on the eastbound carriageway A30 at Sourton, near Okehampton, at around 9.55am.
"The A30 is currently closed in both directions due to debris in the road and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
"Police and paramedics are at the scene.
"The extent of any injuries is currently unknown and the incident is ongoing."
Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix, reported the crash at 10.12am.
Article continues belowIt said: "The A30 Eastbound blocked, queueing traffic due to accident, lorry and a trailer involved and spillage from the Broadwoodwidger turn off (Stowford Cross, Launceston) to the A386 ( Okehampton ).
"Congestion to the main road through Bridestowe as traffic seeks an alternative."
