Woman dies after motorbike and lorry crash

A woman has tragically died following a crash between a motorbike and a lorry[1] yesterday morning (Wednesday). It happened on the 6G road in Llandudno[2] Junction, which was closed while emergency services worked at the scene. A Wales Air Ambulance also landed nearby to assist.

The woman was taken to hospital following the collision, where she later died, despite efforts to save her. Police have launched an appeal for witnesses. A North Wales Police[3] statement said: "A woman has sadly died following a collision in Llandudno Junction[4] yesterday, Wednesday 20 th August.

Emergency Services attended 6G road in Llandudno Junction at around 7.40am following reports of a collision involving a motorbike. "The motorcyclist, a 31-year-old local woman, was subsequently taken to hospital where she sadly died. The woman's family have been informed and are being supported by officers."

Detective Inspector for the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, Tim Evans added: "I share my deepest condolences with the woman's family at this difficult time. "Tragically, this is now being investigated as a fatal collision, and I am appealing to anyone who witnessed the collision to contact us. "I am also appealing to anyone who was travelling in the area of the former North Wales Weekly News/ Lidl roundabout between 7-7.40am and has dashcam footage leading up to the collision to contact us."
