UPDATE: Hour-long M42 delays as HGV crash sees paint spilled across carriageway

Motorists are being warned of hour-long delays on the M42 following a crash involving a lorry which has left paint across the carriageway. Three of four lanes remain closed southbound following the incident earlier this afternoon (August 22). National Highways said the incident happened between junctions five (Solihull) and four (Shirley).

Traffic officers are currently on scene dealing with traffic management.
