Three people taken to hospital after M2 crash

Three people have been taken to hospital after a serious crash on the M2. Kent Police was called to the collision shortly after 10.15am this morning (August 29). It had happened on the London-bound carriageway, between junction 6 for Faversham and junction 5 for Sittingbourne, Sheppey and Maidstone (Stockbury Roundabout), and it involved a lorry and two cars.
Emergency services, including police patrols, highways officers, fire crews and paramedics, attended the scene. A police spokesperson said: "Three people were treated for injuries at the scene. They were taken to a local hospital for further medical attention and the vehicles were recovered."
Traffic was held on the motorway for more than an hour while emergency crews worked.[1] All lanes have seen reopened but delays remain in the area.
