Surrey lorry and motorcycle crash leaves rider hospitalised

A crash between a lorry and motorcycle near Woking left the rider in hospital and caused the closure of multiple roads. According to the police, officers were called to Bagshot Road at around 7.55am on Wednesday morning (August 6) following reports that a crash had occurred between a lorry and a motorcycle. Police confirmed that the rider was taken to hospital for treatment.

Following the incident, the force closed a number of roads in the immediate area, at the junctions of Connaught Road, Brookwood Lye Road, and Cemetery Pales. All affected roads have since reopened. A spokesperson for Surrey Police[1] said told SurreyLive at around 9am: "Officers were called to Bagshot Road in Woking[2] shortly before 7.55am this morning following reports of a collision involving the driver of a truck and the rider of a motorbike at the location.

"The rider of the motorbike has been taken to hospital for medical treatment.

Road closures are currently in place at the junctions of Connaught Road, Brookwood Lye Road, and Cemetery Pales, but will be reopened later this morning."
