Nissan releases UK pricing for Qashqai with e-POWER

Pricing has been confirmed for the latest version the British-built Qashqai crossover, available with its electrified e-POWER powertrain. While Qashqai with e-POWER aims for better fuel efficiency, refinement, and lower emissions, the cost of buying one remains unchanged on most grades, falling slightly on two. Remaining the same price, the e-POWER Acenta Premium is GBP34,860, e-POWER N-Connecta is still GBP37,330, and the e-POWER Tekna+ is GBP43,210.

Models that have been reduced by GBP50 are e-POWER N-Design at GBP39,730, and the e-POWER Tekna at GBP39,730. The wheels of the Qashqai are driven by an electric motor, with a 1.5-litre turbo petrol engine used to generate electricity and recharge the on-board battery - meaning drivers experience the linear acceleration of an electric vehicle (EV), but with the familiarity of filling up at a petrol station. This iteration of e-POWER aims to offer customers an 'electrified feel' behind the wheel, with changes to fuel efficiency, increasing by 15% to 62.8mpg (WLTP), giving a potential range of 745 miles.

CO2 emissions have been decreased, from 116g/km to 102g/km - a 12% reduction compared with the current iteration, which in turn means a lower VED banding. The Qashqai with e-POWER is designed to give an EV-like feel, with cabin noise reduced by up to 5.6dB. Power had been increased by 11kW to 151kW (up from 188bhp to 201bhp) in Sport Mode.

Service intervals increased from 9,000 to 12,000 miles, aiming to reduce the total cost of ownership for customers. Production of Qashqai with e-POWER begun at Nissan's Sunderland plant, where 4.5 million Qashqais have been built since 2006, and the first examples will arrive in Nissan showrooms across the UK from late August.
