M40 speeding: Police caught driver at 101mph amid traffic

The car was recorded at the high speed on the M40 motorway between junctions four and five in Buckinghamshire on Tuesday, August 19. Police said the driver was speeding "despite lots of other traffic and warnings for roadworks." Thames Valley Police's roads policing unit made checks on the car, which revealed the driver only held a provisional licence and provided a fraudulent insurance policy.

Officers said the vehicles was "moved off the motorway" and seized for the offences.
The driver was reported for the multiple driving offences and will likely appear in court.
The M40 motorway travels through Oxfordshire from before junction six at Chinnor to beyond junction 11 at Banbury.
