Lorry crash driver arrested on suspicion of drink driving
A lorry driver has been arrested on suspicion of drink driving following a crash. Police were called just before 6pm on Friday (August 15) to the A20 near Wrotham.
It was a single-vehicle collision and involved a Mercedes lorry. Officers at the scene suspected the driver had been drinking alcohol and they were asked to complete a breathalyser test. The readings were more than 120mg of alcohol per 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35.
They were subsequently arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
Kent Police Tonbridge & Malling posted the incident on X, adding: "Thankfully no injuries were sustained to any person(s)."
