Lorry crash blocks busy A-road

A key stretch of the A21[1] near Tonbridge[2] was blocked this morning (August 27) following a lorry crash. The southbound carriageway of the A-road was fully shut between Morleys Roundabout and the A26 Quarry Hill Road. Officers from Kent Police[3] have been in attendance.
And Kent County Council's[4] highways department has warned drivers to "expect delays in the area".
In its latest update at around 4pm, traffic and travel monitoring site Inrix said: "One lane closed and very slow traffic due to emergency resurfacing repairs and earlier accident on A21 Tonbridge Bypass southbound from A225 (Hildenborough/Sevenoaks turn off, Sevenoaks Weald) to A26 London Road (Tonbridge)."
