Live: Two-lorry M6 Cheshire crash

Motorists are enduring a nightmare on the M6 through Staffordshire and Cheshire - as the August Bank Holiday comes to a close. Drivers travelling on the M6 northbound through North Staffordshire have already been caught up in an accident and then delayed by a broken-down vehicle. The incidents closed lanes and caused 'long delays'.

Now two lorries have crashed on the northbound M6 through Cheshire. The latest collision was reported at 5.10pm tonight. Traffic monitoring system Inrix states: "There is one lane closed and queuing traffic due to an accident on the M6 northbound between junction 18 for Middlewich and junction 19 for Knutsford.

Travel time is 15 minutes."
