Live M62 traffic updates as ‘police incident’ in Cheshire leaves motorway closed

The M62 is shut to traffic in Cheshire due to a police-led incident tonight (Friday, August 15). The westbound carriageway[1] is closed between Junction 9 (Warrington) and Junction 8 (Burtonwood). The closure was first reported shortly after 10pm.
