Police are appealing for information after a man in his 70s died after a crash involving a car and tipper truck in Cannock. Staffordshire Police said it happened on the A4601 Wolverhampton Road near Great Saredon on 21 August and involved a Skoda car and a Scania lorry. Emergency services were sent to the scene at 11:00 BST.

The man, who was the driver of the car, was taken by ambulance to hospital where he died on Saturday. His family have been informed and are being supported, officers said. The driver of the truck is helping police with their inquiries, the force said, and officers have appealed for anyone with information or dashcam footage to contact them.
