YWD Transport Brings Local Expertise To Palletforce In Yorkshire

YWD Transport. Express freight distribution network Palletforce continues to strengthen its network coverage with the addition of an experienced new member to cover YO postcodes in north-east Yorkshire. York Warehousing & Distribution (YWD) Transport joins Palletforce to manage a wide area covering Malton, Pickering and across to the coast at Scarborough - and will use its robust market experience to deliver a high-quality customer experience in the area.

YWD's warehousing business was established over 30 years ago and includes a network of four storage locations handling goods for a range of high-street and consumer brands. Its transport arm, YWD Transport, was formed five years ago by operations director Joe Wilkinson and transport manager Matt Potts, who wanted to meet the demand for general haulage and distribution from their customers. Having successfully navigated a number of industry-wide challenges since launching their transport operation to grow their distribution business, they were keen to join a pallet network to leverage their local expertise and enable further sustainable growth.
