XPO Logistics Extends Tour de France Partnership with 3,340km Green Convoy

XPO Logistics has confirmed it will once again provide transport services for the Tour de France, extending a collaboration that is now approaching its 50th year. The 2025 edition of the Tour runs from 5 to 27 July, and XPO Logistics will deploy 56 drivers across 3,340km of French roads, supporting every stage of the race. This year's route passes through 34 d?partements and 11 regions, culminating as usual on the Champs-?lys?es.
A dedicated team will then switch focus to the Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift, held between 26 July and 3 August. XPO Logistics has supported the women's event since its launch in 2022.
Precision support and emissions reduction
Infrastructure for each race stage--such as podiums, start villages, barriers and timing equipment--is set up and dismantled in record time. Each setup requires a different terrain solution, often delivered under extreme conditions.
To support these demands, drivers are hand-picked and trained to navigate tight mountain roads in heavy vehicles. The company's national network of agencies also provides last-minute support in remote areas. The 2025 edition marks the continuation of XPO's rollout of its LESS(R) HVO fuel solution.
Vehicles running on this renewable diesel substitute reduced CO? emissions by 223,370kg last year. Compliant with Euro 6, the trucks also cut nitrogen oxide by up to 70%. Thomas Cariou, CSR Director at Amaury Sport Organisation (A.S.O.), said:
"The Tour de France is a living laboratory for the environmental transition of major sporting events.
With partners such as XPO Logistics, we are taking new steps every year towards a more responsible Tour." XPO's agreement with A.S.O. has now been extended through to 2030. Luis G?mez, President - Europe at XPO Logistics, said:
"We're honoured to extend our Official Transport Partner role through to 2030.
This long-standing collaboration reflects our shared commitment to operational excellence, innovation and sustainability." Bruno Kloeckner, Managing Director - France, added:
"The Tour is much more than a logistical challenge: it's an honour and a source of great pride for our teams." In addition to the Tour de France and the women's edition, XPO Logistics supports 12 other major A.S.O.-organised cycling events, including Paris-Roubaix, Crit?rium du Dauphin? and Li?ge-Bastogne-Li?ge.
