Woman, 19, dies in crash involving car and lorry

"At about 1.30pm a Hyundai i10 was in collision with a Scania Tipper HGV on the A4 Bath Road at the junction with the B3109. "A female passenger in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. "Her next of kin have been informed and our thoughts are with her family and friends at this time.
"The female driver and male passenger in the car sustained serious injuries and are currently being treated in hospital. "The driver of the HGV was uninjured. A spokesperson for the South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust (SWASFT) said: "We were called at 13:37hrs on Thursday 24 July to a road traffic collision in Corsham.
"We sent four double-crewed land ambulances, three air ambulances, an operations officer, a critical care car and the hazardous area response team to the scene. "We conveyed one patient by air ambulance to Southmead Hospital and two further patients by land ambulance to Royal United Hospital Bath." A Wiltshire Police spokesperson said at the time: "Please be aware that the A4 in Corsham at the junction with Bradford Road is currently closed following a serious collision.
"The road is likely to be closed for the foreseeable future.
"Please avoid the area."
