Veterans into Logistics Announces New Ambassador as Pall-Ex Group CEO

As an ambassador, Buchanan will work to raise the profile of the charity within the logistics industry, as well as advocating for veterans and the experience they can bring to logistics roles. Veterans into Logistics supports service leaders with gaining meaningful employment in all types of logistics roles but specifically focuses on helping individuals achieve their Large Goods Vehicle (LGV) licence, maintaining their Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC), working on their CVs, and arranging interviews with reputable companies. Pall-Ex has been steadfast in its support of the Armed Forces community over the last five years, proudly working alongside several military charities and holding the Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award from the Ministry of Defence for its forces-friendly employee policies.
Most recently, the business celebrated becoming a Gold Patron of Veterans into Logistics by unveiling a special edition tractor unit inspired by military rank insignia and the charity's colour scheme. Discussing his appointment as ambassador, Buchanan commented: "It's a real honour to be appointed as an ambassador by Veterans into Logistics. Service leavers are hard-working and reliable employees, bringing a lot of valuable skills to their careers after leaving the military - a message I am committed to continue sharing within the logistics industry.
"At Pall-Ex Group, we have been heavily involved in supporting veterans and service personnel for a number of years now, so working alongside Veterans into Logistics is another opportunity to strengthen those ties." Darren Wright, Veterans into Logistics founder and former Royal Artillery Airborne Gunner, added: "I'm delighted to announce that Kevin Buchanan is an Ambassador of Veterans into Logistics! In his role as Group Chief Executive Officer at Pall-Ex Group, he is committed to the company's ambition of being the employer of choice for those leaving the military and so it seemed only fitting to invite him on board!
"Kevin already champions our mission at the charity and we awarded Pall-Ex Group with our Gold Partner Status highlighting their support to Armed Forces veterans and service leavers. He recently spearheaded our Veterans into Logistics livery on Pall-Ex's newest Volvo truck, which looks fantastic and is an excellent way to promote the charity as it travels the UK. "Kevin's belief in supporting ex-military into new careers after service aligns with our own, and I'm excited that he is looking forward to welcoming more veterans into employment at Pall-Ex as a result of our partnership.
"Kevin joins our excellent ambassadors who go above and beyond to promote Veterans into Logistics. They share our belief that military veterans and Armed Forces service leavers deserve rewarding and well-paid careers after their service and that many are ideally suited to the logistics industry."
