Update on injuries after Wiltshire lorry smash closed road for hours

Emergency services have issued an update on those involved in a lorry crash on the A350. Two people were taken by land ambulance to the Royal United Hospital on Monday, July 7, after a crash between Beanacre and Melksham saw an air ambulance rush to the scene. The A350 was closed to motorists after the crash at around 11.30am saw two HGVs and a white Alfa Romeo car collide.

A spokesperson for the ambulance service said two ambulances, an air ambulance, an operations officer, and a rapid response vehicle attended the scene. However, it has now been confirmed that no serious injuries were sustained. ADVERTISEMENT

The scene of the crash (Image: Trevor Porter) (Image: Trevor Porter) "At around 11.30am yesterday (07/07) we responded to a collision on the A350 at Beanacre between two HGVs and a white Alfa Romeo," said a spokesperson for Wiltshire Police. "There were no serious injuries."

The A350 remained closed for most of Monday afternoon, with long queues on either side of the closure.

Motorists were told the avoid the area while recovery of the vehicles took place.

However, the A350 is now open as usual.
