Motorcyclist suffers serious injuries in crash with lorry on A12 incident

Traffic control said a two-vehicle crash partially blocked the A12 southbound carriageway between Junction 16 at Galleywood and the A414 Junction 15, yesterday morning[1]. It was reported at 8.03am and motorists experienced delays in the area. There was traffic congestion back to Junction 17.

The police and the East of England Ambulance Service attended the scene. A police spokesman said: "We were called to a collision involving a motorcycle and a lorry between Junction 16 and Junction 15 at around 7.20am on Thursday, July 10. "The motorcycle rider suffered serious injuries, which are not believed to be life-threatening, and is receiving hospital treatment.

"The road was cleared later that morning."

A spokesman for the East of England Ambulance Service said: "One ambulance was sent to the southbound A12 near Ingatestone following reports of a motorcyclist injured in a road traffic collision.

"One man was transported to Broomfield Hospital for further assessment and care."
