Live: M50 obstruction sparks long traffic jams
Drivers were caught in long delays on the M50 after a blockage on the road. Traffic was held for a time between junctions 4 to 3, causing a backlog of traffic to form in the area. Photos taken at the scene show jams along eastbound carriageway of the motorway.
Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Queueing traffic due to earlier obstruction on the road on M50 Eastbound from J4 A449 (Travellers Rest roundabout) to J3 B4221 (Newent). Prior to 18:50 all traffic was held for just over five minutes." According to Inrix, delays on the road cleared by around 7.15pm.
