Live: M5 crash stops traffic at Bristol with long motorway delays
Two crashes on the M5 are causing major delays through Bristol. Motorists were stopped on the southbound carriageway at junction 18 with the M49 at around 12.30pm on Monday, July 7. A second crash was reported at around 1.30pm in the queues for the earlier collision.
National Highways' traffic map shows delays building in the area. Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Long delays and one lane closed due to accident on M5 Southbound between J18 M49 and J19 A369 Martcombe Road (Portishead). "Congestion to just past J15 (M4 interchange).
A new crash has occurred within the queues for the earlier crash and one lane has now been closed."
