Emergency services remain at scene of two lorry crash in Hemel

Herts police was first alerted to an incident on the A414 in Hemel Hempstead at around 11.18am today. A picture taken at the scene. (Image: Tosh France) A road traffic collision had occurred involving a red Lexus RX, a white Volvo Heavy Tractor Artic and a red Volvo Heavy Tractor Artic. "Emergency Services are currently on the scene and there is a closure on the A414, the Breakspear roundabout and one lane of the M1 while emergency services deal with the incident," a spokesperson for Herts police commented.

"We ask that motorists please avoid the area at this time and seek alternative routes."

Herts Fire & Rescue said one appliance was dispatched from Hemel Hempstead, where on arrival crews found a lorry on its side and another lorry and car in collision.

A spokesperson added: "No persons were trapped, and we assisted with stabilising the vehicles and providing scene safety."
