Edinburgh lorry and car crash in second incident at busy roundabout weeks apart

A second collision [1]between a lorry and a car has taken place at a busy Edinburgh roundabout. It is believed that the incident, which saw a small red Vauxhall and a large white lorry come together, occurred at approximately 3.30pm on Tuesday, July 8, on the roundabout at Straiton Junction. It comes just weeks after a similar incident [2]was caught on dashcam footage, with that collision taking place on Thursday, June 26, at around 12pm.

Images of the latest collision show the red Vauxhall car with a huge dent [5]in the drivers side. Details of the incident are currently not known, but a resident who lives nearby told Edinburgh Live that this is a "weekly occurrence" and that the road markings and signs in this area are contradictory. Police Scotland has been approached for comment.
