A9 closed in both directions at Carrbridge after collision between car and lorry

The A9 has been closed at Carrbridge in the Highlands due to a collision between car and lorry. It took place at about 2.20pm this afternoon, with an overturned vehicle blocking the road. The A9 has been closed in both directions.
And police have asked motorists to "avoid the area if possible". Ambulance crews and three fire appliances - from Aviemore, Grantown-on-Spey and Kingussie - are on the scene. A special appliance has also been sent from Inverness[1].
