VIDEO: Pizza lorry ploughs through house fence

A PIZZA lorry has ploughed through a Brockenhurst home's fence after being involved in a crash with a car on a busy route through the village this morning (Monday). Police closed off a stretch of Lyndhurst Road following the incident involving the vehicle belonging to the Domino's takeaway chain, and a Mercedes. Boyd Collins, general manager of nearby The Huntsman, took videos of the aftermath while walking his dog.

He told the A&T: "No one was injured, so all is good, other than for the people at the property and for door-to-door pizza delivery, I guess." According to Mr Collins, apart from the fencing and some shrubbery, the home wasn't damaged. The road closure has since been lifted, after the lorry and car were moved clear.

Locals have reacted to the videos shared to social media by Mr Collins.

One commented: "That yew hedge should be fully reinstated as it is the sole remaining physical evidence of Watersgreen House.

"The cab of the truck has just missed the arch in the hedge where the gateway was."

The A&T has contacted Hampshire police for details of the incident, and is awaiting a statement from Domino's.
