Road closed after lorry crash near to Queen Camilla’s house

The lorry crashed into the bridge on Mons Lane near Lacock, forcing Wiltshire Police to close the road to remove the vehicle. The side of the bridge was destroyed by the collision, and police put up temporary barriers along the road. A spokesperson for Wiltshire Police said: "At around 10.45am this morning (June 18) we responded after a lorry collided with a bridge in Mons Lane near Lacock.
"There were no injuries and no arrests." Trevor Porter, photographer, was on the scene and he noted that the lorry was "pulling a trailer" when going over the bridge. He said that the vehicle "mounted the bridge, dislodging the stone work".

The bridge is located near to Ray Mill House, which was purchased by Queen Camilla in 1995 - the property is said to be worth around GBP850,000.
