Police monitor area in Renfrew amid ‘dangerous’ driving

Officers carried out patrols around Kirkneuk Park on Thursday, June 19 after reports of off-road motorbikes being driven unsafely. Members of Renfrewshire's Local Problem Solving Team confirmed the move on social media. A post on Facebook read: "Officers from Renfrewshire Local Problem Solving Team have been carrying out patrols in Renfrew after complaints of off-road motor bikes being ridden dangerously around Kirkneuk park."
Meanwhile, a man has been arrested and charged after a fatal crash on a busy motorway, which killed a woman and four horses. The collision, between a Mercedes A-class car and a MAN box van, took place on the A737 near Howwood on Monday, September 23, 2024. Officers were called to the scene and a 59-year-old woman, who was a passenger in the Mercedes, was pronounced dead.
Now, a 60-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident.
