M6 ‘police incident’ in Cheshire sees all lanes held

Traffic was being held on the M6 motorway in Cheshire tonight (Wednesday, June 4) due to a 'police incident'. All lanes were being held between Junction 20 (Lymm Interchange) and Junction 19 (Knutsford). The incident was first reported shortly before 10.30pm and the road had cleared by 11.10pm.
Inrix, the traffic data company, said: "M6 in both directions re-opened, traffic easing, police incident over from J20 M56 J9 (Lymm Interchange) to J19 A556 (Knutsford)."
