M5 Frankley Services: Arrest after £5k ‘stolen’ fuel found

Bromsgrove Police posted on social media: "Reports of a vehicle suspected in fuel thefts across the county caught the attention of our Operational Policing Unit (OPU). "The vehicle -- confirmed to be cloned -- was spotted travelling on the motorway network through Bromsgrove. "Working in coordination, Roads Policing Teams from Bromsgrove and Hereford OPU successfully boxed in the suspect vehicle and brought it to a safe stop at Frankley Services.

"Inside, officers discovered an unsecured load of fuel -- estimated to be worth GBP5,000, believed to have been stolen from multiple locations across the county.

"The driver had no licence, no insurance, and now -- no fuel.

"They were promptly arrested for theft, and both the cloned vehicle and fuel have been seized."
