Lorry and car crash on A428 closes road in both directions

A busy road in Cambridgeshire was closed in both directions after a crash involving a car and a lorry. There was slow traffic on the A428 after an incident between Cambridge Road (Eltisley) and A1198 Ermine Street South. The incident was reported to the police at 6:55am on Friday (June 20).
Police attended the scene. No arrests were made. The police reported that no one involved in the collision suffered any injuries.
Inrix, the traffic data monitoring company, said: "Traffic easing, earlier accident on A428 in both directions from Cambridge Road (Eltisley) to A1198 Ermine Street South (Caxton Gibbet roundabout, Caxton Gibbet)." A spokesperson for Cambridgeshire Police said: "We were called at about 6.55am this morning (20 June) to Cambridge Road, Eltisley, after reports of a collision between a car and a lorry. "There were no arrests, it looks like there were no injuries and the road was cleared at about 8.05am."
