Live: M5 traffic at a standstill after crash in Gloucestershire

Motorists on the M5 are at a standstill this afternoon, Monday, June 16, following a crash. Traffic on the southbound carriageway is currently being held at junction 14. One witness said there are multiple emergency services at the scene.

They said: "There's two fire engines and two ambulances just gone past us at junction 12." Roads and traffic monitoring site, Inrix reported the crash at 12.20pm. It said: "All traffic being temporarily held and stationary traffic due to accident on M5 southbound at J14 B4509 (Thornbury / Falfield).

Camera shows no traffic is passing through now." The extent of the crash is not known at this time. Emergency services have been contacted for further information.
