Huge M5 delays clear after caravan jackknifed near Stroud

Drivers faced huge delays on the M5 in Gloucestershire[1] after a crash near Stroud[2]. There were long delays between Thornbury and Stroud, with two lanes closed in the northbound direction. A van pulling a caravan has jackknifed and overturned on the motorway, Gloucestershire Police said.
No one is reported to have been seriously injured. National Highways has said a caravan has overturned and there are four miles of congestion in the area. At the time of writing, there are reported delays of 60 minutes[3], according to National Highways.
National Highways said: "Lanes 1 & 2 (of 3) are closed on the #M5[4] northbound between J14 ( #Falfield[5] ) & J13 ( #Stroud[6] ) due to a collision involving an overturned caravan. "Emergency services & Traffic Officers en route. Four miles of congestion on approach causing 50 min delays above normal travel time."
Traffic monitor Inrix reports: "Long delays and two lanes closed due to accident on M5 northbound from J14 B4509 (Thornbury/Falfield) to J13 A419 (Stroud)." Gloucestershire Police said: "Two lanes of the M5 northbound are currently closed between junction 14 and junction 13 after a report that a van pulling a caravan had jackknifed. "Nobody is believed to have been seriously injured.
Emergency services are at the scene and motorists are advised to find alternative routes."
According to Inrix, delays on the road cleared by around 3.45pm.
