First glimpse at the new Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD

Vauxhall has unveiled its new Vauxhall Grandland Electric AWD, its first fully electric model available with all-wheel drive. Pricing and specification details will be outlined closer to the UK start of sales date in early Autumn.
Customer deliveries will begin from later in the Autumn. Steve Catlin, Vauxhall MD, said: "Our top-of-the-range Grandland SUV is a milestone for Vauxhall, having proven very popular since we opened the order books last August. "Customers already have the choice of fully electric drive or 48-volt hybrid powertrains, and now we are expanding that offering with the Grandland Electric AWD.
"The new all-wheel drive addition ensures that our customers can enjoy maximum efficiency and safety in diverse weather and road conditions, combined with plenty of driving fun." A 73kWh usable lithium-ion NMC battery delivers up to 311 miles (WLTP) of range. A short stop of 26 minutes is required to charge from 20% to 80% at a rapid charger.
The vehicle has four driving modes - normal, AWD, sport and eco.
The system combines the 213PS front-wheel drive electric motor featured in the standard Grandland Electric and couples it with an additional 112PS electric motor for the rear wheels.
The vehicle provides a total power output of 325PS, maximum torque of 509Nm and a 0-62mph time of just 6.1 seconds.
