NEW FEATURES FOR THIS EDITION Among the main highlights of this year's edition is the Innovation Hub, a dedicated area for startups and SMEs offering highly innovative and creative solutions to tackle future mobility challenges. This initiative aims to support emerging players by providing a qualified showcase within the exhibition.
Participating companies must meet specific criteria: less than 9 years in operation, fewer than 80 employees, and annual turnover under EUR8 million. Another significant addition is the expanded Rolling Stock Area, enlarged by 780 m2 to meet the high demand for exhibition space from companies in this segment. This expansion reflects the growing interest in the sector and will offer greater visibility to manufacturers and operators developing cutting-edge rolling stock.
EXPO Ferroviaria is not only about rolling stock, rails, infrastructure, signaling, and communications. It also provides a platform to showcase other specialized products, such as safety equipment, cabling, and ticketing systems. The exhibition will feature dedicated zones for various segments of the railway industry and highlight cross-sector technologies and new business opportunities from related industries.
Following the great success of the 2023 edition, the Aerospace Technology Hub returns this year. This exhibit area allows visitors to discover the latest aerospace innovations and understand how these advanced technologies can be successfully applied to the railway sector. It will foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between two highly technical worlds -- aerospace and rail -- bringing together experts, companies, and institutions working on future mobility solutions.
The Track Area, where vehicles will be displayed on two sections of rail track alongside specialized rail equipment, underscores the vital role this segment plays within the industry. Meanwhile, the Tunneling Area will spotlight the tunneling sector, showcasing the latest innovations in underground construction and equipment. This area is organized in collaboration with TELT - Tunnel Euralpin Lyon Turin and SIG - Italian Tunneling Society.
EXPO Ferroviaria 2025 aims not just to be a railway trade fair, but also to explore future trends and promote dialogue among industry experts through sector-focused conferences, seminars, technical presentations, workshops, and international B2B meetings. EXPO FERROVIARIA PARTNERS Every year, EXPO Ferroviaria collaborates with various representatives from the railway and supply sectors to ensure the success of the fair and establish it as a premier networking platform for the industry.
