Emergency services on scene of serious crash in Clacton-road closures in place

The incident reportedly occurred shortly after noon, and a resident in the area has told the Clacton Gazette that a person was hit by a lorry. As a result, Old Road remains shut and is expected to stay closed throughout the afternoon. Partial closures are also in place on nearby St Osyth Road and Meredith Road as emergency crews respond to the scene.

Police, paramedics and other emergency services are in attendance, and a cordon is currently in place. Drivers are being urged to avoid the area and seek alternative routes. We have contacted emergency services for further details and will provide updates as they come in.
