Delays build on M25 in Kent after lorry crash

Delays have built on the M25[1] in Kent this morning (Tuesday, June 24) following a crash involving a lorry. The incident has taken place on the anti-clockwise carriageway between Junction 6, for Godstone, and Junction 5, for the M26 and Sevenoaks[2]. Following a brief 15 minute hold on the carriageway, one lane of four currently remains closed along this stretch of the motorway.
Traffic and travel monitoring service Inrix says that road users are contending with five miles of slow traffic on the M25 at this time. Queues have been worsened by reports of a separate broken down vehicle near the site of the crash on the anti-clockwise carriageway. National Highways currently reports delays of at least 10 minutes in the area.
It is not yet known if any injuries have been reported following the collision or when the lane closure is expected to be lifted. KentLive[3] has approached the emergency services for further information.
