‘Avoid the area’: Part of motorway near Glasgow closed after lorry ‘strikes bridge’

A stretch of a busy motorway near Glasgow Airport has closed after a lorry 'struck a bridge'. Emergency services rushed to the scene on the M8 westbound at junction 27 (Arkleston) following reports of a 'bridge strike' at around 2.50pm today. Cops have completely shut down the westbound carriageway to allow for recovery after the crash.

Nearby Arkleston Road in Renfrew[1] has also been closed.
